Blow the Whistle on Cancer 2025

What

Once again, IAABO 21 will be sponsoring Blow the Whistle on Cancer by encouraging officials to use a colored whistle during the designated week.  In an effort to bring attention to this very important campaign, please use your colored whistle (blue, white, yellow or pink) for each game at every level. Typically there will be an announcement by the school prior to the game to bring attention to the Blow the Whistle on Cancer program.

When

The week that has been designated is January 25 through January 31.

"Officials vs. Cancer"

Officials vs. Cancer was started in 2008 and supports the American Cancer Society. All monies that are donated are tracked, process through the American Cancer Society (ACS) headquarters in Syracuse, and then returned to the local ACS offices for the areas from which the donations were made. Since the inception of the program, over $1,000,000 has been donated to the American Cancer Society.

The blow the whistle on cancer programs has been an IAABO priority for several years and participation from our board has improved tremendously over the last 10 years.

Thank you very much!

We have done this for the last thirteen years and below you can see the progress that we have made. Last year we donated $4,781 from IAABO 21. This year's goal will be $3,000. With 250 members, a $40 dollar donation from each would put us over this goal. The suggested amount is if you can, would be half a game fee.
